Drunk Driver Arrested!

Rochester, MI - July 29, 2022 - At approximately 12:25am, a Rochester officer was performing radar speed enforcement on Main Street near Olde Towne. The officer observed a white SUV traveling southbound N Main at 40 MPH in a posted 25 MPH zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the BP gas station. While speaking with the driver, a 30-year-old female from Trenton, the officer observed signs of intoxication. The driver performed the requested SFSTs which she did not pass. The driver was given a PBT which yielded a 0.12 BAC result. The driver was placed under arrest, transported to RPD and given a chemical breath test. The chemical breath test resulted in a 0.13 BAC. The driver was lodged until sober and released with a citation for a pending court date.


Drunk Driver Losses Control of Vehicle, Arrested!

Rochester, MI - August 5, 2022 - At approximately 2:25am, a Rochester officer was monitoring traffic at the intersection of Main and Second. The officer observed a Ford Mustang parked in front of Main Steet Billiards that suddenly left making a U-turn to go northbound. The driver lost control of the vehicle causing the tires to squeal and the vehicle to fishtail up the road. The officer followed the vehicle, where it turned onto eastbound Third St without using its signal. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, a 30-year-old resident from Rochester. While the officer was speaking with the driver, he could observe signs of impairment. The driver performed SFSTs, which he did not pass. The driver provided a PBT sample of 0.12. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to RPD for an additional chemical breath test. The breath test resulted in a BAC of 0.13 BAC. The driver was lodged until sober and issued a citation pending a future court date.
