Rochester Hills, MI - Secure your spot in the 39th annual Spencer Park Bass Tournament that takes place from 3pm- 5pm on Sunday, September 25 on Carter Lake in Spencer Park.

The catch-and-release tournament, sponsored by the Rochester Hills Meijer and Dick’s Sporting Goods, is open to all ages and skill levels. Contestants can compete in several bass catching categories, while those 12 and under will have a Casting Contest.

“The bass tournament is a great opportunity for both experienced anglers and first time fishermen to enjoy a fun day on the lake and even win some prizes,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett.

Awards and prizes will be given out for the largest bass, most bass caught, and there are even some tagged fish in the lake that, if caught, will win you a prize.

An awards ceremony follows the tournament at 5:15 p.m. Tournament entry is $5 per participant, and park entry is free for registrants. Contestants will need to bring their own fishing equipment. All fishing will be from shore.
