No Active Threat Found at Stoney Creek High School. School Cleared!

Rochester Hills, MI – Sep 20, 2022 – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported threat at Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills.

The school, located at 6755 Sheldon Road, was placed in lockdown as Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Rochester Police Department searched and cleared each room of the school to ensure the safety of the students, faculty, and staff. Students and faculty remained in their classrooms until cleared by law enforcement personnel.

“We take every threat seriously and fully investigate them,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “Nothing has been located that was a credible concern. Contrary to a false media report, no body was found, and no one was injured.”

The school was put on lockdown shortly before noon by the school’s principal as a student told a school official there was another student armed with a gun. Furthermore, another student claimed to have heard a gunshot in the building.

The Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the initial 911 call and set up a command post on scene. Responding personnel quickly secured the campus and upon initial investigation, it is believed that the claims made by the two students were unfounded. Currently Stoney Creek High School is clear of any threats.
