Rochester Hills Man Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

Oakland County, MI – Oct 14, 2022 – A Rochester Hills man accused of rubbing himself against three unsuspecting employees of a beauty supply store was arraigned on criminal sexual conduct charges.

Dante Fermin Colon, 27, is being held in the Oakland County Jail on $10,000 cash or surety bond set Wednesday by 52-3 Division District Court Magistrate Karen Holt. He is charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. Colon is ordered to wear an electronic tether if he is released on bond.

The incident, which led to Colon’s arrest, occurred on Sept. 22 shortly after 4pm at a beauty supply retail store in the 2800 block of S. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills.

On separate occasions involving three different female store employees, Colon asked for assistance while standing near the men’s fragrance section of the store. In each instance, he expressed interest in a fragrance that was on the bottom shelf of the showcase. As the employee reached for the item, Colon moved close behind the employee and rubbed himself against her. Each woman noticed Colon was sexually aroused. In one instance, Colon touched the employee six or seven times.

The Sheriff’s Office was notified after one of the employees mentioned her encounter with Colon to the others and they related a similar experience with him and concluded the touching was not accidental. They were able to obtain a license plate number for Colon’s vehicle before he left the parking lot.

Colon was arrested Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team.
