31-year Old Rochester Hills Resident Arrested for Drunk Driving!

Rochester, MI - January 9, 2023 - At approximately Midnight (12am), a Rochester officer was on patrol in the area of W. University and Walnut when they observed a vehicle stopped beyond the stop sign. The vehicle turned left onto westbound University and the officer followed the vehicle. As the vehicle continued westbound on W University, the vehicle swerved over the double yellow line multiple times. The officer also measured the vehicle to be travelling at 45 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.

The officer stopped the vehicle a few moments later and made contact with the driver, a 31-year-old from Rochester Hills. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of intoxication and the driver admitted to having a drink. The officer requested the drive perform field sobriety evaluations, which she did not pass. The driver provided a PBT (Preliminary Breath Test) sample of 0.19 BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration). The driver was arrest and transported to RPD for a chemical test and lodging. The driver was offered a chemical test which she refused. A blood search warrant was sought, and a blood draw was completed. The driver was lodged until sober, and citations will be issued upon the completion of the blood test results.


Driver Who Runs Stop Sign Has Suspended License!

Rochester, MI - January 12, 2023 - A Rochester officer was on patrol in the area of Second and Walnut when they observed a vehicle travelling southbound on Walnut that failed to stop at the intersection of Walnut and Second. The vehicle continued eastbound on Second towards Main St. The officer followed the vehicle as it went on Second and observed the vehicle to be travelling at 35MPH in a 25 MPH. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. Further investigation revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to RPD for lodging. The driver was issued a citation and released with a pending court date.
